Take Advantage of Boston’s Commuter Rail System

As a fun-loving Union House resident, you’ll want to spread your wings and go beyond the warm and friendly confines of our Framingham apartments for rent. Boston’s commuter rail is perfect for that, enabling you to visit other locations with ease. A wide array of other tourist and vacation spots are easily accessible by using the MBTA as well:

You can visit Boston: While there’s plenty to do in Framingham, Boston is just a short ride on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Framingham/Worchester line. Take in a Celtics, Bruins, Patriots or Red Sox game, visit a museum, or do a bar crawl; it’s all within easy access to the commuter rail, bus, and shuttle. Boston is a beautiful city with a rich history and it’s a straight shot from the Framingham station. There’s something for everyone there.

You can get your vacation started at Boston Logan International Airport: The MBTA runs straight from Framingham, MA to Boston Logan International Airport. If you need to visit your family or you’re heading off to traipse the white sandy shores of the Bahamas, the MBTA gets you there. Plus, the easy access to the MBTA ensures you won’t have to scramble to find someone to pick you up from the airport!

Going to Gillette Stadium: One of the best things about living in Framingham is how easy it is to go see a Patriots game. Pats football at Gillette Stadium is a rite of passage for fans across New England. The MTBA takes you to Boston first, where you can stop and enjoy some brews, and then from Boston to Foxborough. It only takes about 35 minutes.

Hit the slopes at Wachusett Ski Resort: Use New England’s long winter to your favor and visit Wachusett Ski Resort, long considered one of America’s most accessible ski runs. Wachusett Ski Resort is accessible by the Ski Train, via the MTBA. Hit the slopes and be home in time for dinner or rent a cabin with friends and party by the light of a fire.

Taking in the beauty of Cape Cod: As winter turns to spring, you must take in the breathtaking Cape Cod Bay at least once. Don’t make the mistake of living near the bay without visiting it. Cape Cod has a vibrant ecosystem, and the coastline is dotted with delicious seafood restaurants. You can walk the short three-minute stroll to the Framingham station and be there in under three hours.

Making the pilgrimage to Fenway Park: Even if you’re a Yankees or Orioles fan, Fenway Park is Holy ground. Gaze at the same outfield grass that Ted Williams roved in the 1940s. Marvel at the same Green Monster Carlton Fisk launched that iconic 1975 World Series home run over. Sit in seats that were there for Babe Ruth’s debut. It’s all a short one hour-trip on the MBTA.

Catching a show at TD Garden: In addition to Fenway, Boston also offers a premium location for live concerts. TD Garden is a great place to see a show. Hop on the MBTA, and you’ll be in Boston in under an hour. You can even catch a Celtics game while you’re there.

Visiting historic Salem, MA: Everyone has heard of the Salem Witch Trials. But did you know the town of Salem hosts a variety of events and has museums dedicated to its unique history? Salem, MA is close enough to Framingham, MA, to make it an ideal weekend getaway.
